Sony Officially Reveals The PlayStation 5

Although Sony’s PS5 showcase focused on the games you’ll be playing on the much-anticipated next gen console, they decided to cap off the presentation in a big way by revealing the console itself. The PS5, revealed in two different models, features the same futuristic black and white aesthetic as the previously revealed DualSense controller. Alongside the traditional console that includes an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive, Sony will also be launching a Digital Edition that forgoes a disc drive for those who prefer not to dabble in physical media.

Alongside the console reveal, Sony also revealed a bevy of accessories, including the DualSense charging station, an HD Camera, PULSE 3D wireless headset, and a media remote. No word was given on an official release date or price tag of the PlayStation 5, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated when that information becomes available.
