Aliens: Fireteam Announced

A new three-player co-op shooter set in Ridley Scott’s Alien franchise has been revealed, and only time will tell if this is going to be a stand-up fight, or another bug hunt? In this survival shooter, a fireteam of three Colonial Marines face overwhelming odds against over 20 different enemy types, including 11 different forms of Xenomorphs ranging from Facehuggers to Praetorians. Fireteams are built by choosing from five different classes: The Gunner, Demolisher, Technician, Doc, and Recon, all of which have their own arsenal of special abilities and character perks. Aliens: Fireteam will also include over 30 weapons and more than 70 mods and attachments to assist you in your mission to eradicate the hive. Check out the reveal trailer for Aliens: Fireteam below:

Aliens: Fireteam takes place 23 years after the events of Alien 3, as up to three players take on the roles of Colonial Marines stationed aboard the USS Endeavor. Aliens: Fireteam is slated to release this Summer, but not firm release date has been given at the time of writing. San Jose developer Cold Iron Studios are heading up the project, and have confirmed that the game will release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC via Steam.
