“Vita means life” is a popular internet meme, and for once it may turn out to be true.  Despite being completely ignored by Sony and the Expo at large, the Vita still somehow managed to have 3 games exhibited for it, tucked away in tiny booths behind all of the mega-hits.  since we’re big fans of Sony’s neglected little handheld, we took the liberty of finding Vita games at E3 2017 and compiling them into a list.  We’ve even included pictures of the signs bearing the Vita name, since it can be kind of hard to believe without seeing them.

Farming Simulator 18

Tucked away in a corner of the Focus Home Interactive booth, The Vita version of Farming Simulator 18 was demoed at an empty table alongside the 3DS version.  A yearly release that’s coming to practically every platform under the sun, it’s exactly as it sounds.  It’s like a more realistic version of Harvest Moon, but it appeals to a very niche and (apparently) very dedicated audience.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana

The last few games in the Ys series have been published by Xseed, but this time the reigns are being taken by NIS America.  Being presented in the Sega/Atlus booth, Ys VIII: Lacrimoa of Dana was being demoed at a fairly popular station directly opposite one of the Sonic Mania stations.  Right beside it was another NIS America game, which was…

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony

The third title in the popular Visual Novel series, Danganronpa 3 isn’t even technically a new game.  It’s the localization of a game originally released in Japan in January.  And like Ys above, Danganronpa 3 is a multi-platform release and will be hitting Playstation 4 and PC at the same time.

And that’s it.  3 Vita games are all that were shown at this year’s Expo. Still, it’s not a bad showing for a platform that has been essentially abandoned by it’s maker and has virtually zero retail presence outside Japan.
