Shenmue III Will Not Be Shown At E3 2017

E3 2017 is just 2 short weeks away, and is sure to reveal plenty of exciting information on upcoming games, but there may be one game missing: Shenmue III. In an update on the official Kickstarter page, the Shenmue III team had this to say about E3 2017:

We have also been receiving questions from our backers regarding our plans to participate in upcoming game shows. While our schedule has yet to be finalized, we will be devoting June to game development and as a result, will unfortunately not be participating in any game shows. On the other hand, we look forward to bringing you our monthly updates and hope you do too!

Thank you!

From the Shenmue III Team

This is certainly a bummer, as Shenmue III is one of the most anticipated upcoming releases. The Shenmue III Kickstarter campaign netted $6,333,295 to help with its development, from almost 70,000 backers.
