EA Closes Maxis Emeryville Studio

Maxis Emeryville, the studio behind Spore and the latest Sim City, has officially been closed by EA.  This news was broken by Guillame Pierre, lead gameplay scripter on Sim City, via Twitter.  This was then followed up by another tweet by Barrie Tingle, a former producer at Maxis.

Maxis Redwood Shores, the studio responsible for The Sims franchise, remains open.  As of now only the Emeryville studio is affected.
