The Sims 4 Now Available on Steam

Just moments ago during EA’s EA Play Live 2020 event it was announced that the fourth installment in the long-running Sims franchise has hit Steam. You can now purchase either the standard or Digital Deluxe Versions of the game for a heavy 50% discount. Also available are the 35 DLC add-on packs that have been released during the game’s six year life cycle, including vampires, universities, toddlers, bowling, and much more. If you’re looking to jump back into The Sims 4, here are the recommended system requirements to play the game:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: 64 Bit Windows 7 (SP1), 8, 8.1, or 10
  • Processor: Intel core i5 or faster, AMD Athlon X4
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 650 or better
  • DirectX: Version 9.0
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 18 GB available space

This is just the tip of the iceberg, as EA has opened the flood gates with their games migrating to Steam in the last week. The Sims 4 was originally released back in 2014 to a 70 Metascore on Metacritic. Since its initial release it has also been ported to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
