Rod Fergusson Leaving The Coalition, Joining Blizzard To Oversee Diablo

Rod Fergusson, the Gears Viking himself, announced earlier today via Twitter that he will be departing the Coalition. Rod has been instrumental in the development of the entire Gears of War series, having been with the franchise since its creation in 2006.

Fergusson will be departing the Coalition next month, where he will be moving to Blizzard Entertainment to oversee the Diablo series. You can check out Rod’s departing messages from his Twitter feed below:

It will be interesting to see how the future for both the Gears and Diablo franchises unfold, as Gears presses onward with Gears Tactics on April 28th, and Diablo with Diablo 4 at a much later unannounced date.
