Mario Golf: Super Rush Announced

Mario and friends are finally hitting the links once again, as the next installment in the Mario Golf franchise was revealed for the Nintendo Switch during Today’s Nintendo Direct. Mario Golf: Super Rush will be fully playable using controller or Joy-Con motion controls, and will also introduce many new game modes. The game will arrive in just a few short months on June 25th. Check out the reveal trailer for Mario Golf: Super Rush below:

Mario Golf: Super Rush will feature Speed Golf, a frantic new match playstyle where players don’t have to wait their turn to take their shots and race to complete each hole. This mode will also include power ups to make each match that much more interesting. Career mode using your Mii character has made a return in Super Rush, where players start out as a rookie and build their way up to professional status.

The Mario Golf series began as NES Open Tournament Golf, before being rebranded on the Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color in 1999. Since then, it has seen releases on the Nintendo Gamecube, Game Boy Advance, and the Nintendo 3DS.
