Cuphead Announced For Nintendo Switch

Nintendo kicked off their Spring Nindie Showcase with an absolute knockout, announcing that Studio MDHR’s Cuphead is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Originally released back in 2017 as a Microsoft exclusive, the brutally difficult but gorgeously-animated sidescroller will land on the Switch on April 18th. Check out the announcement trailer for Cuphead on the Nintendo Switch below:

The announcement of Cuphead on the Nintendo Switch is another major step in the Microsoft and Nintendo bromance that has been occurring over the last little while. According to Studio MDHR, they are ”
working closely with the lovely team at Microsoft to investigate bringing Xbox Live features to the Nintendo Switch version of Cuphead“.

There will also be a massive free content update launching the same day as the Switch release, which will include tweaks, bug fixes, fully animated cinematics, and a player selection screen that will let you choose Mugman in single player mode. You can read about that and more at Studio MDHR’s website here.
