Knack II Has Been in Development Since May 2015

In an increasingly connected world, leaks are coming from more and more sources.  Today’s leak comes courtesy of LinkedIn, from the profile of an animator employed with XPEC Entertainment, a Taiwanese game and outsourcing studio.  According the profile (found here) , Mindy Liang has “Animated 3D characters motions and cutscenes for PS4 system” since May 2015 for a project known as Knack II.  Unless Knack II is the most misleading codename we’ve ever seen, it can only mean one thing: a sequel to the PS4 launch game has been in development since at least May of last year.  The profile also confirms that, unsurprisingly, Knack II is set to be a PS4 game.

According to her profile, she has also worked on animation for Final Fantasy XV.  The XPEC website also confirms that the company has been involved in outsourcing work for console games for many years, leanding a little more credibility to this rumour.

Beats me. It was the last game I’d expect to get a sequel.

    • I don’t know if they’re making a sequel but here are a couple of possible reasons.
      1. It sold over a million copies.
      2. Many thougt it was a fun and enjoyable game.
      3. The creator Mark Cerny said he would like to make a sequel.
