The Wii had a Game Announced at E3. So Did the Wii U

E3 announcements. We all love them. Getting to see new games get announced for the Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PC, Wii U, and Wii.

Wait a second, what were those last two?

It’s 2018, but the Wii refuses to go quietly into the night. Indeed, it (and it’s younger brother) both had a single game unveiled this E3, and the name of that game probably isn’t going to surprise you if you’ve been paying attention: Just Dance 2019. That’s right, Ubisoft’s dancing franchise is making Nintendo’s old console do it’s best Thriller impression and just keep on going.

This may seem surprising to the core gamer, but having Just Dance release for the Wii isn’t all that shocking. In fact, the Wii version of Just Dance 2018 was the best selling version of the game in the UK. So it makes sense that the 2019 version will once again release on it’s best selling platform. Although it’s weird to still see a console getting games after 12 years and 2 successors, much less to actually see those games on stage at E3.
