Rogue Legacy’s 5 Year Anniversary Patch Is Now Live
The charming as hell roguelike platformer Rogue Legacy is getting its first patch in four years, just over five years after its initial release. Cellar Door Games’ surprise indie hit featured comical traits such as colorblindness, dwarfism, and irritable bowel syndrome, that either helped or hindered your gameplay experience. Once your character dies, their child will succeed them with different and unique traits of their own.
Rogue Legacy has now been translated in eight languages, including German, French, Brazilian Portuguese, and simplified Chinese. Along with several bug fixes, there has also been many added features into the game, such as new traits, a donation box, cloud saving, and new achievements. For the full list of what is added in the 5-Year Anniversary Update, check out the patch notes here.
Rogue Legacy was first released back on June 27th of 2013, and has garnered a “Very Positive” review status on Steam. It was later released on Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Playstation Vita, and Xbox One. The game can be purchased for $16.99 CDN, and is often heavily discounted during Steam sales.
