Once Again GTA Is Blamed For Bad Parenting As 11-Year-Old Takes Parents’ Car

Video games have been a scapegoat for bad parenting for years, and no franchise has been hit harder with this issue than Grand Theft Auto. According to an article in the Toronto Star, an 11-year-old boy decided to take his parents’ car for a little joyride to “see what real driving was like” after playing some GTA.

The Ontario Provincial Police received a call after witnesses noticed a car driving erratically, swerving between lanes and going well over the speed limit. While this is a very serious issue that could have resulted in a fatality, there is no one here to blame but the parents.

First of all, don’t let your 11-year-old kid play Grand Theft Auto. Also don’t leave your kid unattended with the car keys out in the open. Media, stop using video games for parents letting their children do boneheaded things.
