Storybook Adventure The Plucky Squire Coming To PC & Consoles In 2023

The “Not E3” game showcase season marched on earlier today, with Devolver Digital holding their annual Devolver Direct. In typical Devolver Digital fashion, there were plenty of unique titles premiered spanning many genres, but the game that undoubtedly stole the show was The Plucky Squire, a magical storybook adventure from developers All Possible Futures. Before we dive into the details on when and where The Plucky Squire will release, feast your eyes on the reveal trailer below:

The Plucky Squire follows the character of Jot, who ventures past the confinements of the storybook and takes his adventure into the real world. Perhaps the most impressive thing about The Plucky Squire is how many genres are crammed in this short 1-minute trailer. From side-scrolling action and 3D platforming to Punch-Out!!-esque fights and Sh’mup sequences, The Plucky Squire definitely looks to mix up the gameplay in as many ways as possible.

While we aren’t exactly sure when we’ll get our hands on The Plucky Squire, we do know that it will be sometime next year, and it will be coming to PC and Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series consoles.
