MLB 15 The Show’s Start Up Install Causing Confusion

MLB 15 The Show was released today, and if you’ve booted the game up and you are confused about why you cannot access the main menu, let us explain. MLB 15 The Show features a mandatory Royals vs. Giants tutorial game that also has a breakdown of all the new features that this year’s entry to the series has to offer. That’s all well and good, but there’s a catch: You’re actually just waiting for the game to install.

Several MLB The Show players have flocked to various social media outlets to express their confusion as to why they cannot access the main menu after they finish the tutorial game. While some have had relatively quick download times, there have been reports of players waiting hours for the install to finish. If you look at the screenshot below you’ll notice an installation progress bar on the top left of the screen, above the scoreboard. This means that even if you finish the tutorial game you still have to wait for the install to finish. Our suggestion is to not even play the tutorial, it may help speed up the progress. This is a minor inconvenience, but trust us, it is worth the wait. Check out our review of MLB 15 The Show here.
