The Golf Club 2019 To Include PGA Tour Career Mode
For years PGA golf games and Tiger Woods were synonymous, producing yearly installments alongside EA’s other titan sports franchises Madden, FIFA, and NHL. When that marriage ended in 2013, EA looked to reinvigorate the franchise with Rory McIlroy in Rory McIlroy PGA Tour in 2015. This series lasted only one rendition, quickly fizzling out door to poor reception.
Meanwhile there was a new kid on the block looking to fill the void for golf addicts, HB Studios’ The Golf Club. The game was praised for its realism and its incredibly well-done course creator, giving players thousands of courses to choose from. Its sequel, The Golf Club 2, expanded on those features, while also adding many social features to the game.
There was always something missing in the series however, and that was the inclusion of a solid career mode. That all looks to be changing in the next TGC title, as The Golf Club 2019 will now feature a licensed PGA Tour career mode. Check out the announcement trailer below:
In The Golf Club 2019‘s career mode players will work their way towards earning their PGA Tour card, and will play TPC courses TPC Boston, TPC Scottsdale, and TPC Sawgrass.
No official release date has been given for The Golf Club 2019, but the game will be releasing on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. If you’re unfamiliar with the previous entry in the series, check out our review of The Golf Club 2 here.
