Splatoon 2 Confirmed to Run at 1080p/60FPS

Despite the roaring success of the Splatoon 2 Global Testfire, some fans were concerned.  They were concerned about the resolution, since it appeared to be significantly lower than the native resolution of their 1080p display.  This wouldn’t be unusual for the Switch – Breath of the Wild runs at only 900p on a television, after all.  Splatoon 2 actually only ran at 720p (same as the handheld resolution) when docked during the Testfire.

However, during today’s Treehouse Live stream, Nintendo confirmed that Splatoon 2 will run at 1080p/60. As the hosts were discussing how great and smooth the game looks, they dropped the bombshell that it does indeed run at full HD resolution and sixty frames per second.

Take a look right here.
