Mario + Rabbids Sequel Revealed On Official Nintendo Website Ahead Of Ubisoft’s E3 Presentation
You know E3 season has officially begun when a Ubisoft title has leaked just before their annual presentation, and this time it looks like the leak happened on none other than the official Nintendo website. The webpage has since been taken down, but not before the sequel’s title, release window, screenshots, and synopsis all were shared for the world to see. The sequel will be titled Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, and it will launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch in 2022. Here’s the little information about the Sparks of Hope, as well as some screenshots that were shared on the page prior to its removal:
Team up with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, and their friends on a galactic journey to defeat a malevolent entity and save your Spark companions. Explore planets throughout the galaxy as you uncover mysterious secrets and compelling quests!
– Build your dream team with three heroes from an eclectic roster of nine.
– Take down all new bosses, along with some familiar enemies throughout the galaxy.
– Rescue the adorable Sparks throughout the galaxy, who provide distinct powers that will help you in battle.
– Unleash your heroes’ skills but be strategic as you dash your enemies, team jump on your allies, and hide behind covers.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will be the follow up to 2017’s Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, a tactical turn-based RPG that crossed over Nintendo’s Mario franchise with the Ubisoft’s Rabbids. The game was also leaked prior to Ubisoft’s 2017 E3 presentation. In 2018 the crossover went even deeper, as Donkey Kong was introduced via the Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle: Donkey Kong Adventure DLC.
We don’t have much longer to wait until the official reveal of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, as Ubisoft’s presentation is imminent. We’ll be sure to keep you updated when more information and trailers are released.
UPDATE: As expected, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope was officially revealed during the Ubisoft UbiForward E3 2021 Showcase. You can check out the cinematic World Premiere Trailer for the game below:
