Limited Run Games Bringing Zombies Ate My Neighbors & Ghoul Patrol Back From The Dead With Physical Releases
Limited Run Games kicked off their LRG3 2021 showcase by reviving a pair of cult classic titles from the Super Nintendo era, revealing physical releases for Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghoul Patrol. Last month it was revealed that Disney Interactive and Dotemu were bringing the pair of titles to the Nintendo Switch, and now Limited Run has revealed that they will bring the games physically to the Switch, PlayStation 4, and most surprisingly reproducing the cartridges of the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis versions.
The PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions will come with both Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghoul Patrol bundled on one disc/cartridge. Ghoul Patrol will also be available on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, with Zombies Ate My Neighbors getting a release on both the SNES and Sega Genesis. All versions will go on sale beginning Friday, June 18th, with a one month open pre-order.
Zombies Ate My Neighbors originally released on the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis back in 1993. Ghoul Patrol, the 1994 sequel, only received a Super Nintendo release. Both titles launched on the Wii Virtual Console in 2009 & 2010, but have not been available on modern consoles since.
